The UW-Madison Extension Offices of Buffalo, Chippewa and Monroe Counties will host Industrial Hemp Field Days at three locations in western Wisconsin. The dates are August 17, 18, and 25, 2021. The field days will provide information on research projects and results conducted in western Wisconsin. Research and project partners include The HoChunk Nation, Sustainable Agriculture Research Education, and University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Innovative Grant.
These field days will be held at trials that are comparing eight different fiber and dual purpose (fiber and seed) industrial hemp varieties. A nitrogen rate trial comparing different rates of nitrogen on two of these varieties is also being conducted at the field day locations.
