December Project Day

Youth in Grades 3+ are invited to a Super Fun Project Day on Thursday, December 29th at the Leon Community Center. The kids will be out of school for winter break so this will be a great opportunity to be with their friends and make some really cool projects at the same time. 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Arrive, register, fun time with Jr. Leaders

Session 1 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

LUNCH 11:00 a.m. to Noon – (bring a sack lunch)

Session 2 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Session 3
2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

4-4:30 p.m. – Pick up time

Intro to Record Books
Recording your 4-H projects for the year can seem like a big task. This session will break it down and show you what it takes to make a great record book. You’ll start working on yours today! SESSION 1 & 2 only.

Foods Revue – How To
This session is all about Foods Revue. Learn about all the options available, fair entries, and what to expect when being judged. SESSION 1 & 2 only.

Frosting Fun
Learn how to make flowers and decorate your cakes, cupcakes or cookies with frosting using different designs. SESSION 3 only.

Robotics
Automation is all around us. The Sparta Robotics team will introduce you to the world of robotics and where it can take you.

Wood Craft
Think book shelves are the only thing to make in woodworking? Come see the craftier side of wood. We’ll be making 12” wood round door signs. Limit 5 per class.

It’s In The Bag!
Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, this session is for you! In this sewing activity, you’ll use your creativity and make your own tote bag.

Photography
Want to take a better picture? This session will offer you some tips and tricks on how to make a good picture GREAT! Please make sure to bring some sort of camera with you and pictures. Pictures will be used to make a scrapbook page to be used for your record book or to be entered in the fair.  SESSION 3 only.
