Tai Chi

The Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is an evidence-based program from the Tai Chi for Health Institute (TCHI) and is offered by Tai Chi Instructors trained by TCHI master trainers. Tai Chi involves moving your body in slow, fluid motions. Motions you may do in singular or combination: step forward, backward, and side to side, raising your arms or extending them in front of you, turning your head from side to side. All movements are intended to be low impact and conducted within each participant’s range of motion. Participants should be medically fit, independently mobile, and able to participate without assistance in the class. If you have any concerns about moving your body in this way, contact your primary health provider for guidance on whether Tai Chi is appropriate for you.
