Scholarship Application

 

This scholarship is available to any graduating high school senior attending or planning to attend a College, Vocational School, Technical School, Agriculture Short Course, or any other institution of higher learning. The applicant must be a (or have an immediate family member that is a) member in good standing** of the Western Wisconsin Beef Producer’s cooperative and be pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field. Members are those who have family that typically sold feeder calves at the feeder calf sales at Sparta Equity Sales Barn.

Scholarships, in the amount of $300 each, may be awarded at the discretion of the Western Wisconsin Beef Producers Board of Directors or a sub-committee thereof to successful applicants. Scholarship funds will be awarded to recipients upon proof of completion of first semester and enrollment in second semester.

Recipients will be notified in May.

Selection criteria for this scholarship will be based on the following:

  • Selection will be based involvement/participation with the beef industry and interest in pursuing a career in the field of agriculture.
  • A letter of recommendation from an agriculture instructor/FFA advisor or county 4-H agent.
  • Scholarship applications must be typed (additional sheets may be added if necessary).
